Pocket Shuffle Chess is a free 5x6 mini chess game with mirrored shuffled starts, fast tactics, daily challenges, puzzles, and browser play.
Pocket Shuffle Chess puts familiar chess pieces on a compact 5x6 board. Every starting setup is seeded and mirrored, so both sides face the same unusual position and must think from the first move.
It is a mini chess variant built for short, tactical games. Kings, queens, rooks, bishops, knights, and pawns are all present, but the smaller board brings pieces into contact much sooner than standard 8x8 chess.
The goal is not to replace traditional chess. It is to make a complete chess game easier to start when you want calculation and tactics without a long opening phase.
A seed determines the order of the five back-rank pieces. The same seed always recreates the same board, which makes a position useful for daily challenges, practice, leaderboards, and friend links.
