Each puzzle is a forced checkmate on the compact Pocket Shuffle Chess board. The first position is playable immediately; find the winning line while accounting for the opponent’s strongest reply.
The puzzle route includes mate in 1, mate in 2, and mate in 3 positions. The mate number counts your moves to checkmate, while the opponent is assumed to choose the strongest legal defence.
Start with every legal check, count the king’s escape squares, and identify defenders that can capture or block. In longer puzzles, calculate the best defence before choosing your first move.
